Elk Point
Elk Point: The Elk Point community is a homeowners association located lake front, west of US Highway 50 on the southeast shore of Lake Tahoe. The Round Hill and Zephyr Heights chapters are to the east and north of Elk Point, respectively. Elk Point is situated primarily on flat terrain with a gentle sloping west aspect. A risk/Hazard assessment was completed in August 2004 which rated the overall fire hazard as high. The community has a 20 acre common area which sits between the perimeter of homes which is referred to as the green belt. Elk Point was officially affiliated as the 71st fire safe chapter.
