The Holbrook community became the 18th recognized chaper of the Nevada Fire Safe Council on November 31, 2003. The chapter is located in southern Douglas County, Nevada. Since its inception, the chapter has worked with several partners, most noteably the Nevada Division of Forestry and the United States Bureau of Land Management to create fuel breaks in strategic locations adjacent to the community.

The community biomass site was recently closed. Materials accumulated at the site will be removed in the very near future.
