The Jeffrey Pines chapter of the Nevada Fire Safe Council, located along 395 in west Washoe Valley, became the 91st chapter on May 22, 2008.
In the spring of 2008 the Jeffrey Pines Chapter will be working on a fuels reduction project to clear hazardous within the subdivision. The chapter plans to work with the local fire department and create an evacuation plan for the community.
