The Midas Chapter was formed on October 25, 2007, becoming the 81st Chapter of the Nevada Fire Safe Council. The Midas Chapter has grant funding available for fuels reduciton work on private properties during 2008. Recipients will be required to provide a 2:1 in-kind or cash match.
