The Montreux Homeowners Association came on board with the Nevada Fire Safe Council in July 2007. Located along the Mt.Rose Hwy. in Reno, the chapter hopes to reduce fuels in the common areas and vacant lots. The chapter has qualified for funding with round 8 of the Southern Nevada Public Lands Act. A hazardous fuels reduction project is in the planning phase. Work is expected to begin in the Spring of 2009.
