The Lake Tahoe Community of Round Hill, located on Highway 50 between Zephyer Cove and Kingsbury Grade in Douglas County, became the 39th chapter of the Nevada Fire Safe Council on October 18th, 2005.

Beginning on May 1 2008, members of this chapter will be eligible for a rebate of up to $1000 for fuels reduction work on residential properties. Funds are limited. Click here for more information or call the chapter leader or project coordinator listed above for more details.

In the summer of 2006 a defensible space project removed and thinned the dense brush under story and ladder fuels with in the chapter.  All materials were chipped and left on site for mulch and erosion control.  Funding for the project was provided by the 2005 State of Nevada appropriation and from the USFS California Clearinghouse grant.
