The Tyrolian Village community became the 12th chapter of the Nevada Fire Safe Council on November 12, 2002.  The community has remained active and vigilant against the threat of catastrophic loss due to wildfire.

In 2005, the chapter participated in a grant funded project to treat 12 acres and remove 52 tons of hazardous fuels from their community.  Click here to read the grant report: Tyrolian Village SB 1 Grant Summary.

In 2008, the Tyrolain Village Chapter will benefit from SNPLMA-funded fuel breaks. Click here for a map of fuel breaks scheduled for 2008 in the North Lake Tahoe Fire Protection District.
